Looking for effective new marketing ideas?
Yesterday morning I stopped over for a breakfast smoothie (peanut
butter chocolate protein) and catchy bright yellow square with a
bunch of smiley faces greeted me at the cash register.

Curious, I bought the $2.12 (after tax) yellow 2″x 2″ package to
see if they really worked.
Pop pop, fizz fizz.
Down the hatch they went.
30 minutes later I found myself “dialing for dollars” and making
big things happen. I was in good mood.
Why did ‘this’ work? (’This’ meaning why did I buy them.)
There was nothing special about the pills, they were basically a
generic mix of B12, St. John’s Wart, with a heavy dose of caffeine.
I bought them because a very smart (and now very rich) marketing
guy created a message that speaks to people during this economic
downturn.
My question to you is…
Are you like the “branded” happy pills perched next to the cash
register or more like a bottle of generic vitamins buried in the health
food aisle?
You might be a “happy pill” if you’re branding yourself as a luxury,
foreclosure, or shortsales expert. If not, you might be a “generic”
Realtor concerned about the future.
If this email made a lightbulb go off in your head, I did my job for
today and now it’s your turn to take action for your business

What can you learn from my BlogTalkRadio Interview?

Social media evangelist Sally Witt, host of numerous social media events and
interviews, has kindly invited me to be a guest on her show today live at 4pm
EST. The show is slated to talk about social media and how to engage it in
your business.
While theme is “technology” what I’m going to talk about is not the button
and the programs, and the intricacies behind all of that.
For one, there are some many good program and platform out there you
can buy for a few bucks that are going to do 80% of what you’ll need, so
my focus is going to be on the “social” side of social media…
The relationship.
I’ll talk about how I went from being a virtually unknown and struggling
real estate agent to bursting on the scence in less than 365 days, connecting
with over 200 of the industries top speakers, coaches, agents, and influencers…
Including a full article in both Florida Association of Realtors magazine, the
Council for Real Estate Brokers (CRB) magazine, speaking at FAR annual
conference, and most recently being appointed to serve on the FAR of
Board of Directors.
