Twitter Call MP3 Download and The Real Estate Tea Party
Tell A Friend About This Post
|
What does the Boston Tea Party of 1773, the 2009 Real Estate Market, and
Twitter have in common?
I’ll make this short and sweet.
also the link to last week’s call is below.
1773 U.S. colonist protested against “taxation without representation” on
goods and services imposed by England and dumped £10,000 (in 1773
money) into Boston Harbor.
Why did they do this?
The colonist felt they had “no voice” or “representation” on the important
issues impacting their lives and lashed out.
Fast forward to 2009.
In today’s challenging Real Estate market, homeowners are desperately
looking for a “voice” to represent their interests and the internet is
the 1st place they’re clamoring to for answers (before lashing out).

With 100’s of ways to be that “voice” of real estate in your community,
one of the most viral and untapped “hang outs” is Twitter, a f-r-e-e social
media platform for sharing quick 140 characters “info blips” that lead to
massive action.
Last Thursday night…
Me, Nicole Nicolay of the popular real estate blog “mytechopinion.com”
and Brad Nix, co-host of the upcoming exclusive who’s who of real estate
technology conference “REtechSouth”, sat down and ripped out a page
ahead of the event and did 50+ minutes of “Twitter Raw”.
If you missed it or want to learn more on how to be the “voice of
representation” in your market, I just posted the download link below.

On this link you’ll want to grab access to your f-r-e-e download and watch
the little video I made, which gives you instructions on what to do if you’re
hungry for education beyond the call.
As Realtors, we live in unprecedented times, which requires unprecedented
thinking, and most importantly action.
I’ll head out on this almost rhetorical question…
What actions are you taking to be the voice in your community?
I love all the positive feedback I’ve been getting from all my readers and
viewers and want you to know there’s a standing open invitation for you to
reach out, email, and “tell me” what I can do to help grow your business.
Have a great evening!
Sincerely,
Justin
PS: Some agents got so impassioned after listening to Thursday night’s
call they couldn’t wait to tell me how excited they are and booked a ticket
to REtechSouth.
If the whim of expanding your “RE technology” expertise rears it’s head,
you can scratch that itch and meet up with me and the 200+ other RE
tech gurus for the live 1-day event at REtechSouth.

A little note, if you buy through the link above, I get $20 for helping them
get the word out, but instead of pocketing the cash, I’m going to donate
100% of proceeds to the “Habitat for Humanities”.
PLUS if you act right now they’re giving away a free “hotel” night to one
luck winner who registers before tonight!
So before I run out for a movie…
Check out the REtechSouth line up for March (coming up very soon)
and grab your copy of last week’s “Twitter Raw” podcast MP3.

You’re going to find this post surprisingly short, I wanted to play
into the theme of this week’s live call.

Twitter, a wildly popular/easy to use social media services lets you
type 140 character messages called ‘tweets’ from cell phones and
normal computers.
These short “mirco-blogs” let’s you both share and learn the little
nuances about you and the people in your community.
Some find the service asinine.
Other’s have landed 5-figure pay days.
So tomorrow at 8pm EST we’ll spend 50 solid minutes drilling into
the winners of this social media space.

Graciously Nicole (niknik) Nicolay from the insanely popular RE
technology blog “mytechopinion” and Brad Nix co-host of the
upcoming elite “REtechSouth” conference will be on the call to
peel the orange and squeeze out the fresh RE juice on Twitter.
One last note… Please RSVP.
You’ll get to ask questions ahead of the call and like last week’s
“Zillow v. Trulia” event, I expect this to sell out too and I want
you to get a spot.
Warmly,
Justin
PS: from all the positive feedback I got from the Zillow v. Trulia
call, I’m looking to do more “battle calls”. If there’s a match you’d
like to see me put together for you, let me know, ie:
Top Producer v. ???
Visual Tour v. ???
iPhone v. BlackBerry
ActiveRain v. Realtown
You get the point
